FAQ

My Crypto Lock is not working... What do I do?

First, check to see if your Crypto lock has a small red light shining on one face. If your lock is in a compact space, slide a business card alongside the lock to see the red light.

If the light is on, your lock is working. You do not need to follow the instructions below. Instead, call us at 800-495-5541. Explain that your LOCK is working but your SOFTWARE is not.

If the light is not on, follow the instructions below. Once the light is on, attempt to launch your software again. Call (or search further through the FAQs) if you have any difficulty.

Crypto Lock Driver Download
Download Here - 346 KB
Posted 12/2/2005

Unzip this file into a temporary folder (you may use your desktop or the Tyco folder if you prefer).

Browse to that location and RUN the extracted file CBSETUP.EXE (Crypto lock should be inserted). You will see a little red light shining on one face of the Crypto device after a successful installation.

The drivers installed are version 1.0.5.5.27 dated May 2005 for Windows XP/2000/NT4 from Marx (You don't really need to know this - it's for our reference). What you may care to know is that the manufacturer of the Crypto device altered the firmware, triggering the need for an updated driver.

There is no need to keep the downloaded file or the extracted files. The installation placed new driver files in the appropriate Windows folders.
